1-Electrical Conductivity- Carbon brushes are very good electrical conductors. They make it easier for current to go between the revolving armature and rotor and the stationary stator and rotor of the motor. This enables the electrical power flow required for the motor to function.


2. Low Friction-Because of its comparatively low coefficient of friction, carbon brushes offer less resistance during frictional contact with the motor's revolving commutator. This contributes to minimising friction-related energy losses, improving motor performance and reducing component wear.


3. Good Thermal Conductivity-Since carbon brushes have strong thermal conductivity, they can efficiently disperse heat. By controlling the heat produced during motor operation, this helps to avoid overheating and possible motor damage.
