A carbon brush is a part that helps a motor's stationary and spinning components transfer electrical current. In a generator or motor, the fixed carbon brush rides on the rotating commutator, which allows electricity to flow and completes a circuit.

Fabco universal is the Carbon brush manufacturer in the Delhi Ncr In the beginning, brushes were made of wire and resembled regular wire brushes. However, the wire brushes frequently caused the commutator to wear out and had other run-time problems. Brushes made possible by the use of graphite enabled for a more even distribution of current between commutator segments. Carbon brushes made of graphite last longer and save the commutator. Additionally, the graphite is typically customised to meet certain operating demands and the addition of additional chemicals might aid lubricate the connection.
